None of those things relate to work performance, other than to make the job hell for no reason other than some puritanical virtue signaling on behalf of the ownership. Or have a cell phone on their person, even for emergencies. Or leave the store for any reason, even while on break. They are about not being allowed to sit down during a ten hour shift, even while on break. None of the complaints are about being "worked hard". GregInIndy: sherkaner: You'll never get hired at Bucee's with that work ethic.īTW: if they ever actually are denying people any state-mandated meal or rest breaks that is highly actionable and I recommend immediately reporting it to state employment regulators. And if you don't cut it? You're not excellent? You're out, and they try again with someone else. Pretty killer unskilled wages, but only if you're a really great employee and you'll definitely work hard the entire time. Sounds awful.įWIW, In & Out Burger in the southwest is much the same way in the fast food industry. The rest? Golly, they hold you to strict policies and you work hard the whole time while paying you well above the going average in the area. I'm sure this means something.īTW: if they ever actually are denying people any state-mandated meal or rest breaks that is highly actionable and I recommend immediately reporting it to state employment regulators. Gosh, there's some bad former-employee reviews online. Sherkaner: You'll never get hired at Bucee's with that work ethic. Hope that isn't too much trouble for you. Second one needs to be copy pasted, the formatter won't auto-link it. You'll never get hired at Bucee's with that work ethic. It simply isn't on me to prove your points for you. Have you looked into how they treat their employees for yourself, or are you just basing this comment on the pay alone? They have a pretty draconian definition of "performance". I don't think I have any problems with that. They pay far above the average, and they expect far above-average job performance. They have to pay that much to offset their massive turnover rates, very few people are willing to be treated that harshly long enough to work their way up. I encourage you to look into the labor requirements of a typical Bucee's employee. GregInIndy: sherkaner: GregInIndy: sherkaner: Rapmaster2000: Also, I was shocked how much they pay.
